KASEV Foundation with 24 rooms of 6 storey facility building having capacity to host 135 persons was renewed by volunteers including Altınova Shipyard Entrepreneurs and Cemre Shipyard under leadership of Turkish Shipbuilder’s Association (GİSBİR) on 2018.
KASEV Foundation is a non-governmental organization that has been established in 1986 with supports of voluntaries wholly and its aims is being to carry out health services and trainings, social service, environmental health and training studies especially for teachers and elder individuals. Rest home, sheltered housing and care department put into service within the foundation structure on 1997 provide services to elders of our country for more than 20 years.
There is residence for hale and hearty elder residents, intermediate care for half-dependent residents and 4 separate care units for full-dependent residents in KASEV Foundation facility that its main objective is to ensure continuation the life of its residents safely, peacefully and first and foremost socially active. In sheltered housing division of the facility, especially retired teachers are hosted and in 40 person nursing home, is provided service to persons who need care and have physically restrictions. Continuous care and controls are provided with Internal Disease, Neurology, Psychiatry and Geriatrics doctors and eight professional nurses.Personnel to be provided service to the guests are trained by KASEV Foundation for 8 months and certified on self-care and communication.
Also, there are special areas such as library having more than 5.000 books, art room, music and hobby rooms, hairdresser, hobby kitchen where the guests can spend pleasant times in the facility having sea view balconies, comfortably spacious and bright rooms, common use areas with TV unit in every floor, meeting and individual interview areas. The nutrition of the residents stayed within the foundation structure is carried out accompanied with a dietician. 12 personnel provide service in cafeteria and modern equipped general kitchen having international standards within the frame of hygiene rules.
By organizing in-house or out-house activities, it is provided to be active socially. It is aimed to spend quality and peaceful time with music, drama groups, panel, symposium and AR-GE studies and culture trips such as various dinner, theatre, concert and opera.
