The world’s first e-methanol powered Service Operation Vessel, NB1094 ESVAGT, has set sail for her home!
Earning this pioneering title from the outset, NB1094 has been built by overcoming each challenge with determination — turning the entire construction journey into a lifetime experience. Putting our heart, craftsmanship, and courage into every stage enabled us to create something truly remarkable.
From its signature red color by Esvagt, to the mind-blowing technical details that demanded exceptional care and time, NB1094 reflects the spirit of innovation and perseverance at Cemre Shipyard.
Designed by Hav Design, this 93-meter-long innovative vessel provides accommodations for 124 persons and is built according to DNV classification rules, sailing under the Danish flag. The SOV will serve the world’s largest offshore wind farm, Hornsea 2, located off the UK’s Yorkshire coast in the North Sea.
What NB1094 brings to the future of offshore wind operations includes the reduction of 45,000 tonnes of CO₂ emissions annually with e-methanol & battery propulsion; hi-comfort standards for crew and technicians ensuring superior onboard living and working conditions; enhanced safety performance enabled by advanced systems and smart operational design; and optimized logistics and accessibility ensuring efficient turbine service operations.
We are proud to have successfully delivered this groundbreaking vessel to its owner ESVAGT and end-user Ørsted, further strengthening our long-standing collaboration with both partners through this milestone project.
NB1094 now sets sail to shape the future of green offshore wind operations, and we, with every contributor and stakeholder, are honored to be part of this transformation.
