Cemre Shipyard signed a contract with Norwegian Ship Owner Hardhaus AS on newbuilding environmentally friendly new “Hardhaus” with a battery solution, electrical deck machinery and heat recovery system. 75 meter Purse Seiner / Trawler equipped with a comprehensive battery solution to benefit from the reactive power that generated by the winches. The batteries will also be used for peak shaving to achieve the best possible operating conditions for the diesel engine, thus reducing fuel consumption, emission and wear and tear. Hardhaus can operate both in conventional diesel mechanic and diesel/battery electric mode. The ship owner has put special emphasis on optimizing the hull shape and the main dimensions which have been fine-tuned throughout the development phase. The design of the new Hardhaus is developed by Salt Ship Design AS with focus on energy saving, freeboard, draught and ship motions. The vessel will be called NB65 newbuilding number.
