Victoria of Wight has a special value for me as it is my first project. But i believe it is not only for me but also for everyone which has seen her unique beauty while building her. I feel myself lucky to be a part of the team that built an eco-friendly and comfortable ferry like Victoria of Wight. She also became a pioneer project for us to introduce ourselves in UK ferry market.
She is delivered to Wightlink (UK) as the biggest ship of their fleets and the first one capable of handling double decker lorries. Victoria of Wight with her game changing new Hybrid Technologies, is called as “the next generation ship for the next generation” by Wightlink. We had chance to work closely with Wightlink representatives based in Turkey during the project. We built a warm business environment together with Wightlink and happy to see the results.
Victoria of Wight is equipped with hybrid system that represents a state-of-the-art solution for propulsion efficiency. She has four 6-cylinder Wärtsilä 20 generating sets, electrical and automation (E&A) systems, integrated automation system (IAS), a power and energy management system (PMS/EMS), battery packs and a 690 volt main switchboard.
We had the chance to work on every detail with interior designers closely to compete expectations of the owner. She is designed with high quality interior areas to comfort passengers on vessel. She is equipped with LED lighting with low energy consumption, living rooms with a variety of concepts, COSTA coffee shop, children play and movie rooms and fashionable furniture.
We farewelled Victoria of Wight in July 2018 on his way to Portsmouth with the good memories. I am proud to be one of the team members that built the most eco-friendly passenger vessel for its route.
